Demon Kin (or Demoniacs) are humans who have been possessed by the essence of a demon, though the exact method of this possession and the nature of the demonic essence remain a mystery. The demonic essence may belong to a rebellious minion of the Eyes or an independent entity wanting to overthrow the Eyes. Demon Kin can choose to be overtaken by the demon’s essence and use its power instead. In their human form, Demon Kin are typically kind, weak and feeble, but when they transform into their demon form, their senses are heightened, and they become embodiments of brutal savagery.
