A DEMON TEMPTER'S GUIDE - A Solo Journaling TTRPG.

Welcome fledgling Demon to another day in eternity.

Clock in, tempt patients, write reports, clock out.
Does that sound like hell?
Well, you’d be right.
Better tempt enough patients too, or “the great father below” has worse places for you to be.
Who knows, you might even collect enough souls to get in his good books. There’s always someone above you; remember that.

You are a fledgling Demon and a recent recruit to Hell’s legion of Demonic Tempters (also known as Demonic Possessors). Your task is to guide mortals toward “the great father below” and away from “the enemy above,” securing their damnation. Demonic Tempters refer to their mortal targets as patients or marks. Like every other Demonic Tempter, your aim is to advance within the demonic ranks by collecting as many patients’ souls as possible and earning Demon-Merit Points.

We Are Legion is a tabletop journaling rpg about tempting mortals into eternal torment.

The PDF is 32 pages, with a vibrant, lurid layout that mixes clean, readable text with medieval style demon illustrations.

Contents-wise, this is a game with a strong voice. It addresses the reader as a demon, and it's framed as a handbook for seducing mortals. It sticks pretty closely to this pretense, but not without a few bits of twee humor.

Gameplay-wise, you play by tempting mortals away from their Good Qualities and into Evil Qualities. Doing well nets you Demonic Merit Points, and producing a masterwork (a mortal representing all seven deadly sins) wins you the game on the spot.

Most of this process involves rolling and writing, but you also have a reserve of dice that you can substitute in for other rolls, giving you a bit of control over the narrative.

The game is typically played in solo mode, but there are also options for pvp.

Overall, this is a mean and atmospheric solo game in keeping with the theme of the devil as a tempter. It's not gothic---this isn't a game that broods, its demons are venal and corrupt---and it's extremely easy to reach a grisly bad end. At the same time its layout is immaculate, and the illustrations are creative and unsettling. If you'd like to play out the story of Faust from the demon's perspective, give this a shot!

is there any way to buy this other than paypal?

what do you suggest?

card would be good

Does itch.io even allow that?

Yes they do

i've bought many things on itch, never bothered to make a paypal account

Go through with PayPal, there is a Pay with credit or Visa debit card option, for those without PayPal accounts.

Paypal seems like the only option, I don't know how you purchased any games here without it. Are you fishing for freebies?

Adding wonderful art by https://twitter.com/mortifer_um to the book/pdf EXCITING!

I may channel the aid of Demons, or make a deal with the Devil to help me with the art, or I may hire an Art Fiend.
Time will tell, any advice Faust?
